You’re Invited! Join us Tomorrow in Greensboro to Learn More About How Apprenticeships Can Grow Your Talent Pipeline

Here at the NC Chamber, our members have consistently told us that one of their biggest challenges in the modern global economy is recruiting the qualified talent needed to get the job done right and remain competitive. But as this recent article from the New York Times illustrates, job creators in North Carolina have increasingly found that strong apprenticeship programs are one of the best solutions to this skills gap, enabling employers to actively engage with and cultivate the skills needed for their future workforce. For this reason, as part of our ongoing efforts to make North Carolina a top-10 state in workforce readiness and stability the NC Chamber and NC Chamber Foundation have also made a commitment to securing our spot as the top place for statewide apprenticeship programs in the country.

To that end, we are a supporting organization for a series of upcoming Apprenticeship Summits being planned by the N.C. Department of Commerce in a number of North Carolina communities. The first of these Regional Employer Registered Apprenticeship Summits will be held on Thursday, March 23 at the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro – and you’re invited. Summits are also being planned for Greenville (April 25), Durham (April 27) and Cary (May 18th) we will provide you with additional details on each of these events as they are finalized.
