Stay Up to Date on How NC Competes for New Job Growth

The North Carolina Department of Commerce is continuing to host events in communities throughout the state as part of its NC Competes for Jobs tour. The tour aims to update local leaders on the economic development toolkits available to North Carolina communities to help them better compete for the best businesses in our globalized economy. Next week, the tour will host two events in western North Carolina, and you can view the details for these events below.

The NC Chamber and our members have played a major role in recent sessions to help North Carolina pave the way for new job growth, including successfully fighting to secure House Bill 117: NC Competes Act in 2015. That crucial legislative victory protected and expanded a first-class economic development package that allows North Carolina’s job creators to more than match offerings from competitors in nearby states.

If you live or work in or close to these communities, we encourage you to attend one of the two events next week and learn about how North Carolina’s healthy business climate is creating one of the best places in the nation for new companies to set up shop and for existing businesses to continue to grow. To RSVP, send an email to RSVP@nccommerce.com with the event location included. The NC Competes for Jobs tour plans to visit additional communities in North Carolina later in 2016, and we will keep you updated on these events as they are announced.
