NC Department of Commerce Conducting Broadband Business Survey

| Infrastructure

Broadband, or high-speed Internet, continues to create long-term benefits for businesses throughout North Carolina. To remain competitive in the digital economy, the North Carolina Department of Commerce is conducting a survey to understand the growing technology needs of businesses throughout the state. NC Broadband invites all businesses to complete a survey about how your business or organization currently uses the Internet.

Results of this survey will allow the Department of Commerce to identify strengths and weaknesses in the state’s digital economy, as well as gauge the effectiveness and importance of existing technology training and support programs, and will help shape policies that will keep North Carolina at the forefront of the digital economy.

Please visit www.ncbroadband.gov/survey to take the 20 minute survey. The deadline to complete the survey is Thursday, Oct. 31.

As an incentive and in appreciation for businesses to respond by the end of the month, the Commerce Department will give 500 businesses in North Carolina an individualized scorecard assessment that compares Internet usage with industry peers. The report includes uniquely tailored suggestions specifically intended to increase profitability and improve efficiencies through the utilization of specific broadband-enabled tools and applications.
