NC Chamber and Jobs Leaders to Advance a Pro-Growth Energy Conversation in NC

With more than nine million residents, North Carolina is already the ninth-most populous state. And that is a list we will only continue to climb, as future growth is projected to put us at 12 million by 2030. To prepare for that growth and make way for new job creation, the North Carolina Chamber and our members know that our state’s leaders must continue to strengthen an “all of the above” energy production portfolio while striking a healthy regulatory balance to safeguard the environment.

On Sept. 17, we will take the conversation around energy production and job growth to the next level at the NC Chamber’s Annual Energy and Environmental Management Conference. Join us next Thursday at the Sheraton Imperial in RTP to hear an expert-laden list of presenters discuss the latest trends in energy production and how those developments will impact your company and the future growth of North Carolina.

We hope you will be on hand to learn how North Carolina’s business community supported efforts at both the state and federal levels to advance a pro-growth energy agenda in 2015. Presenters will include N.C. Department of Energy and Natural Resources Secretary Donald van der Vaart, and the audience will be treated to a keynote speech on the EPA’s revised redesign of our nation’s electricity grid from Heath Knakmuhs, senior policy director at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for 21st Century Energy Policy.
