Last Chance to Receive Tax Foundation’s NC Chart Book

| Tax Policy & Competitiveness

In 2013, our state’s leaders adopted legislation that modernized the tax code for the first time since the 1930s. The package included tax reductions for individuals and businesses, a simplified and more neutral tax system, and a stabilized revenue stream; combined, these changes catapulted North Carolina’s business tax climate from 44th to 16th in the nation and put $400 million back into the economy for the 2014-2015 budget cycle.

The NC Chamber and members like you fought hard to secure those reforms, and in 2015, we helped to up the ante once again. At the NC Chamber’s 2015 Tax Conference next Thursday, Nov. 5 at the Doubletree Hilton in RTP, we’ll reveal the results of a new study illustrating the incredible progress North Carolina has made in recent years to create a tax climate that stands head and shoulders above our competitors. North Carolina Illustrated: A Visual Guide to Tax Reform is an interactive report developed in coordination with the nonpartisan Tax Foundation and the NC Chamber Foundation that compares our recent changes to those made by surrounding states to determine whether North Carolina has truly created a more competitive tax climate.

Scott Drenkard, director of state projects at the Tax Foundation, will be on hand to help provide attendees with an exclusive first look at how tax reforms are keeping even more money in the pockets of job creators so you can do what you do best – create jobs! Registration ends today so act now to reserve your spot at this exciting event before it’s too late.
