Hear From Lawmakers Who Have a Critical Vote on Bills Affecting Your Business!

This Conference is the perfect opportunity for you to make a lasting impression with legislators who have a critical vote on bills affecting your business. Historically, lawmakers look at thousands of bills in one session alone – help them put a face on issues like workers’ compensation, tort reform, taxes, environmental reform and more. This particular legislative session is projected to tackle major issues.

Leaders of the NC General Assembly will talk about the upcoming session and policies that could impact the state’s business climate. There will be more than 350 attendees from a range of corporations, associations and public policy groups on hand; you won’t want to miss this event!

Keynote Address: An Insider’s Look at the 2014 and 2016 Elections
Mr. David Wasserman, House Editor, The Cook Political Report

David WassermanDavid Wasserman is the House editor for the Cook Political Report, where he is responsible for handicapping and analyzing U.S. House races. Founded in 1984, The Cook Political Report provides analyses of presidential, Senate, House, and gubernatorial races. The New York Times called the Cook Political Report “a newsletter that both parties regard as authoritative.”

Wasserman analyzes the current political environment in presentations that he can tailor to his audiences’ specific interests or locales. His analysis looks at both national and local politics (if requested, he can even do a district-by-district analysis), the three critical trends that affect voting, and what the future holds for American politics.

Highly-Praised Expertise. Nate Silver of the New York Times’ FiveThirtyEight blog wrote: “Wasserman’s knowledge of the nooks and crannies of political geography can make him seem like a local,” and the Los Angeles Times recently called Wasserman “whip smart” and a “scrupulously nonpartisan” analyst whose “numbers nerddom was foretold at a young age.”
